A great artist! I met her back around 1973 or so. Patelson's House of Music opposite the stage door of Carnegie Hall. In the back room were classical guitars. She was around sixteen. She listened to me play the syncopated Bourrée from Bach's Suite in E minor. She critiqued my fingering choice in the final bars. Little did I know Sharon Isbin would become a multi-Grammy Award winner and first Chair of Julliard's Classical Guitar Department.

The TRUE artist here is SHARON ISBIN, sadly relegated to the side, so to speak, when Josh Groban can only TRY to sound like that original masterpiece by Billy Joel himself (the few times he has achieved perfection)...Listen to (if you develop the patience!) to her album of LUTE suites by BACH------she is unforgettable----a genius of the classical guitar!!

AMAZING... I really wish I had a chance and was encouraged early in life to pursue classical guitar. Nightshade Rounds was my first album. Saw her live at a mission here in CA around 2000 ish can't remember the name...
